💛 Serve the City Brisbane Social Connect 💛

At Serve the City, volunteering has always been about more than giving back — it’s about creating connection, belonging and community through simple acts of kindness. 💛

Across Brisbane, we’re building a growing movement of social volunteers: people from all walks of life who come together to do something good, meet others and feel more connected to the city and community around them.

And community isn’t only built while we’re volunteering. It’s also built in the moments in between — when we have the chance to meet, talk, exchange ideas, laugh and get to know the people serving alongside us.

That’s why we’re launching our Serve the City Social Connects ✨

These will be regular, casual get-togethers for our volunteer community — a chance to step outside our individual projects and come together, meet volunteers you might not have crossed paths with yet, catch up with familiar faces, share ideas and simply enjoy being part of the STC community.

For our first Social Connect, we’re heading to Tippler’s Tap in South Bank for a relaxed evening of drinks, food and good company 🍻

We’ll also have two special members of our global community joining us from Brussels for this very special Social Connect: Carlton and Shannon Deal, who started the global Serve the City movement almost 20 years ago, now up and running in all continents of the world! They’ll be there to mingle, meet our Brisbane volunteers and share some of the story behind the movement that now connects people serving cities around the world – a wonderful opportunity for all of us at STC to hear from what other fellow volunteers are doing across the globe!

Whether you’ve joined one project or twenty, this is your community and we’d love to see you there.
