Connection, purpose, and fresh air: Join our social morning & community Clean-Up

At Serve the City Australia, we believe that everyone—regardless of age or cognitive journey—has a meaningful role to play in our community. In partnership with the Dementia Action Group, we are hosting a special morning designed for people living with dementia, their carers, and local volunteers to come together for a morning of social connection and gentle, purposeful action.

What to Expect |  We’re blending the warmth of a community morning tea with the rewarding experience of a local park clean-up. It’s about more than just picking up litter; it’s about sharing stories, staying active, and showing that we are all capable of making a positive impact.

  • 9:00 AM – Welcome & Morning Tea: Enjoy fresh coffee, home-baked treats, and great conversation.

  • 9:30 AM – Guest Speaker.

  • 10:00 AM – The Clean-Up: A gentle, guided walk through the park to help keep our local environment beautiful. All equipment provided!

  • 11:00 AM – Wrap Up: A final chance to chat and celebrate our collective effort.

Who is this for?

  • Participants & Carers: If you are living with dementia or caring for someone who is, we invite you to join us for a supportive and empowering morning.

  • Community Volunteers: We need friendly faces to help host, chat, and assist with the clean-up activities.
