At Serve the City, we believe in the power of simple acts of kindness. We know that many community members are doing it tough. Between rising costs and the feeling of isolation, life can feel challenging.

But we also know that when we come together as a community, that weight gets a little lighter for everyone.

On Saturday, 16 May we are opening our table in Labrador. This is a morning for genuine social connection, a hot cup of tea, and practical support for those struggling financially.

What to Expect

Free Morning Tea: Hot drinks, light refreshments, and good conversation.
Grocery Share Table: We welcome anyone who is struggling financially or in need to our table. A Pick-and-choose style setup with fresh produce and pantry staples. Take what you need, no questions asked.
Simple Acts of Kindness: A light activity to write kindness messages for anyone doing it tough. Let’s spread smiles and joy while being community!
Connection: A chance to meet neighbors and realize you aren’t doing this alone.

At Serve the City we understand that life is hectic. At the same time, there’s so much need in our city. What if we could just help out once? We organize volunteering events to make volunteering fun, flexible and with a big impact in the community!
