Support your neighbors doing it toughđź’™

At Serve the City, we believe simple acts of kindness can lighten the load for community members experiencing the rising cost-of-living and those suffering homelessness. We host monthly community events with a FREE Grocery Share Table, Morning tea and we have plenty of volunteers with a listening ear while there’s coffee, tea and home baked goods. We need your help to make these mornings happen!

Our share table operates on a take what you need, no questions asked basis. Your contributions directly help reduce the stress of rising costs and provide practical support to anyone struggling financially.

How you can help

We are currently seeking the following items to stock our table:

  • Pantry staples: Long-life milk, cereal, pasta, rice, canned proteins, flour, sugar, and tea or coffee.

  • Fresh produce: Seasonal fruits and vegetables.

  • Toiletries: Soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products.

  • Baby essentials: Nappies, wipes, and baby food.

  • Supermarket vouchers: These are highly valued as they allow families to purchase specific items like fresh meat or dairy.

Web content support: If you have skills in digital communication, we are also looking for assistance with our online presence.
