Serve & Connect Before Work 💛
Start your day with purpose — and community ☀️
This Serve the City initiative brings volunteers right into the heart of Brisbane CBD for a one-hour breakfast shift alongside the incredible students of St James School, supporting people experiencing homelessness.
Simple, practical, and impactful — this project is designed to fit into the rhythm of your day. Just one hour before work, showing up, serving, and connecting 🤝 supporting the StJimmys cart run by St James!
What makes this shift special is the people you serve with. Side by side with St James students, you’ll be part of a shared experience of stepping into the community, learning by doing, and creating genuine human connection — not just providing a service, but being present in it 💬
This project is about making it easier to get involved — whether you’re short on time, new to volunteering, or simply looking for a meaningful way to start your morning. Small acts, done together, create real impact – and just one hour on your way to work!💫
By joining this shift, you’re also supporting and strengthening the incredible work already led by St James, contributing to a consistent and welcoming space for those doing it tough in our city.
Come as you are. Give an hour. Be part of it!
